How does Pass It Over work?

Post a job with photos, the days and time you want, and how you’d like to pay: a fixed price, hourly or daily. Helpers nearby send private bids that only you can see. Choose any bid, or none. Top-rated helpers, and helpers you’ve hired before, can also be booked directly once you’ve agreed on a price in chat.

When am I charged?

When you book a helper. We hold the payment and release it to the helper when you confirm the job is done, or 48 hours after it’s marked finished if you don’t report a problem. During the test period, payments are simulated.

What if something goes wrong?

Use Report a problem on the job within 48 hours of it being marked finished. The payment stays on hold while you and the helper sort it out, and our team decides if you can’t agree. In an emergency, call 911 first.

Are helpers checked?

Our team reviews and approves every helper before they can bid, and licensed work needs a licence and insurance we’ve checked. ID and background checks through a screening partner are coming soon. Helpers are independent people and companies, not Pass It Over employees.

How do bids work?

Helpers nearby see your job and send a price. Only you see the bids. Pick the one that suits you: it isn’t always the lowest.

What is the start code?

Every booking has a 4-digit start code. Give it to the helper in person only. The job can’t start without it.

Can I cancel?

Yes. Before a helper is booked, before they’re on the way, or within 5 minutes of an ASAP booking, it’s simple. After that, the app shows exactly what applies before you confirm.

How do I become a helper?

Get Pass It Over PRO, create your account and choose your services and area. Our team reviews and approves each helper before they can bid. Companies sign up with their business details, insurance and licences, and add their crew members.

What can I pay with, and which languages are there?

Credit cards, Visa Debit and Debit Mastercard. Interac-only debit cards can’t be used online. More ways to pay are on the way. During the test period, payments are simulated. The apps are in English for now, with some screens translated into Français, Español, ਪੰਜਾਬੀ, 简体中文, 繁體中文, हिन्दी, Tagalog, العربية, Tiếng Việt, 한국어, Português and اردو. Full translations are on the way.
